  • Roberto Sibaja
    Branch Director Director of Coaching
    USSF A License

    Roberto Sibaja is a native of Alajuela, Costa Rica where he played in Liga Deportiva Alajuelense youth divisions for many years. In 2001, he was recruited for the U-20 Costa Rican National Team to compete in the World Cup in Argentina. In 1997, Roberto’s family relocated to Atlanta. He played for Wheeler High School and a Metro Atlanta Youth Club team. He earned a full athletic scholarship and played collegiate soccer for Life University from 1999 to 2003, when he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition. Roberto graduated with a Masters in Sports Health Science and Nutrition from Life University in 2009. In 1998, he began his coaching career. He has coached at various Metro Atlanta youth organizations for seven years, training teams and holding head coach positions through 2005. From early 2005 until 2007 he served as the Center Director/Director of Training at SuperKick in Norcross.  From 2007 until now, he has worked as a Director of Coaching and Boys Developmental Academy Technical Director. 

  • Sergio Magana
    Asst Director of Coaching

    Before joining Norcross, Sergio spent 2 years coaching at Alianza Soccer Club (ASC) at both the state and regional levels. He played a crucial role in assisting ASC in attaining regional premier league status. During this time, Sergio also served ASC as director of the youth boy’s division, U10 through U18.With his family originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, Sergio’s professional experience began with playing in the youth division of Club Atlas where he soon made his way up to the top level team. Before Club Atlas, Sergio played Georgia Youth Soccer with the Mustangs in Dekalb, GA.

  • Daniel Gutierrez
    Academy Director

    Daniel Gutierrez was born in Medellin, Colombia and grew up in South Florida. 
    He began coaching at the age of 17 yrs old and has worked with every youth age (U6 -U18)
    of boys and girls throughout the last 12 years. Daniel has go through the entire USSF 
    coaching pathway from D License to A license and has obtained his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. 
    In the past few years he has worked as the Director of Youth Development & Boys Director of Coaching 
    for Boca United FC, U14 and U12 DA Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Video Analysis Director for the 
    American Heritage Girls Varsity team and Staff Coach for the Regional Development Schools of the 
    New York Red Bulls. In addition to his role as our Academy Director, Daniel is also the Head coach of our
    U15 DA Boys and Video Analysis Director for our DA program. We are very excited for the work that is 
    being done to connect our player development curriculum to the video analysis library.
  • Dan Dawson
    Director of Super Y
    USSF National C License

    Dan is from London, England and grew up playing in the Crystal Palace Academy before playing for Semi-Professional Cray Wanderers in their youth team, Dan became the youngest player to represent the first team at age 15 in a Preseason tournament. Dan moved to Atlanta to play collegiate Soccer for Truett McConnell College and then moving to Conway, Arkansas to play for Central Baptist College earning the defense MVP award his senior year. He then started coaching at Arkansas Utd in their academy program before returning to Atlanta and joining UFA in 2014. Dan was the Goalkeeper coach for Georgia State University Men's Soccer team in 2014 before he moved to coach the Atlanta Silverbacks Goalkeepers in the 2015 NASL season. Dan coaches for Coerver and currently has academy teams at Norcross.

  • Gabriel Chapman
    USSF B License

    Gabriel Chapman is a full-time youth soccer coach. In addition to UFA, where he coaches the U12 Boys DA and U17 Boys Premier teams. He is the head boys varsity coach at Roswell High School and also an assistant coach with the 2004 Georgia ODP Boys team. He previously spent three years as an Assistant Soccer Coach at Oglethorpe University. He holds the UEFA B License, which he obtained in Barcelona, Spain, as well as Level 1 and Level 2 badges from the English FA, the USSF "B" License and the United Soccer Coaches (NSCAA) Premier Diploma. In 2012, he worked as a translator at the International Soccer Congress in Málaga, Spain. A lover of travel and languages, Gabriel has also worked at clubs in Spain (Club Natació de Terrassa) and Portugal (FC Porto) and is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese. 

  • Jimmy Croy
    Staff Coach

    Jimmy came to the U.S. from England in 2015 and comes to UFA Norcross with over 9 years of coaching experience in a wide range of sports/activities.  He has experience working with all age groups ranging from as young as 2 well on to adults aged 45 and has worked with both boys and girls.  Jimmy has played soccer from 8 years old on through college.  After a knee injury, Jimmy turned his focus on coaching.  He has a Joint Honours Degree in Sports Coaching Science and Sports Development.

  • Robin Dixon
    Staff Coach
    USSF A License

    Robin has been involved in developing soccer players at the youth level for over20years. He began coaching while playing collegiately at Wake Forest in the early 90’s. He then worked 6 years with Baton Rouge United as the Assistant Director followed by five years with the New Orleans Soccer Academy as both the Boys’ Director and the Developmental Program Director (ages 4-10). Robin Dixon joined the Norcross Soccer Academy (now UFA-Norcross)Coaching Staff after 6 years at AFC Lightning where he was hired as the Director of Player Development in 2004. Shortly thereafter, he was named the Director of the Boys’ Program in 2006 serving in this capacity through the 2009-10 season.

    Robin has extensive experience at every level of youth soccer development from the 4 year old beginners to the experienced College players. He has had the opportunity to coach 10teams toState Championships, 2 RPL Championsand has been a part of several Region III medal winners.

  • Bryan Dominguez
    Staff Coach

    Bryan was born in Atlanta, GA but grew up in Cali, Colombia. He returned to the United States as a teenager when he was offered a place at the US National Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida in 2006. He attended the Edison Academic Center where he earned back-to-back NSCAA/adidas Youth All-American accolades, and played club soccer for Concorde Fire in Georgia, before playing two years of college soccer for UC Santa Barbara. 

    Dominguez turned professional in 2010 when he signed with Miami FC of the USSF Division 2 Professional League. He made his professional debut on April 10, 2010 in a game against the Rochester Rhinos.   

    Dominguez was a member of the United States U-17 men's national soccer team in 2007, and scored one goal in his four appearances with the team at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in South Korea.

  • Sam Helliwell

    FA Level 1 Award (England)

    Sam originally grew up in England and moved to Atlanta in 2014. He played semi professional soccer in England for 4 years in addition to playing in high school and college. Sam attended Leeds City College and graduated with a degree in Sports Coaching  and Development. Sam has been coaching for 6 years. He won the Regional Championship in 2015 at the Atlanta Girls Middle School.

  • Barat Killian
    Staff Coach

    Barat originally hails from Raleigh, NC where he played Div I soccer at Appalachian State University. Since graduating in 2007, Barat and his wife, Ashley moved to Anchorage, AK to join Cook Inlet S.C. where he spent time as the Recreational Coordinator, Developmental Academy Director in addition to ODP-AK and Boys Varsity at Dimond High School. 

    Over the past 10 years Barat has obtained his USSF “A” License, was named to the NSCAA (now USF) 30 Under 30 Program and joined the staff for US Soccer Region IV. 

    Barat and Ashley return to Georgia with two young boys, Tyler (5) and Jake (2). 
     

  • Ross Keenan

    Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland before moving out to the States May 2014. Ross played in the youth academy before Graduating from University in Scotland with an Bsc (Hons) in Sports Coaching. He has worked with numerous coaching companies, primarily, a charitable organization set up by an ex-soccer player who offered complementary soccer sessions to children and adolescents in disadvantaged areas of Glasgow.  Also has experience with the Scottish Football Association working alongside international teams traveling to Scotland to play in UEFA tournaments and against Scotland's National team. At UFA, Ross has coached both boys and girls in Academy as well as Select teams.

  • Rich Mealey
    Staff Coach
    USSF A License / UEFA B License

    Rich originates from Hampshire in the south of England and joined Norcross in the spring of 2009. Before coming to the U.S., Rich worked for Chelsea FC in his native England as the U9 and U10 Elite Training Center coach. Additional responsibilities included overseeing schools soccer programs and Head Coach at Chelsea Soccer Camps. During his spell there Richard was part of the full Chelsea English Premier League Team Pre Season Tour to Asia. He also holds a National Diploma in Sports Psychology. Prior to his move to Chelsea, Richard was on the coaching staff at The David Beckham Academy in London.  As a player, Rich played Non-League football for various clubs where he won two League Championships and had several appearances in the FA Cup. As a youth player Rich represented his county Hampshire at U18 youth level. His primary aim is to gain the highest possible coaching qualifications and to become a devoted student of the game.

  • Renata Peixoto
    Staff Coach

    Renata is a native of Brazil and is a former collegiate and semi-pro athlete.  She has extensive personal experience and education in Human Performance, Health and Masters in Business Administration as well as team building and motivational techniques.  She is an experienced athlete and qualified coach who teaches, guides and empowers each athlete to optimum athletic and personal success.   

  • Terry Roddy

    UEFA B/PFA Level 1 and 2/Coerver Youth Diploma/NSCAA National Diploma

    A passionate and skilled soccer coach with lifelong experience of the game.  During his youth and Irish league/League of Ireland playing time Terence gained IFA and FAI Irish coaching badges and UEFA B license. Adding a BA. Sports and recreation management degree whilst playing for Kent Athletic FC in the South midlands football league, England.  Terence continued his coaching education at Reading Football Club gaining PFA level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications, with 10 years as a successful coach, he has proven history of developing youth soccer programs.  Joining UFA Norcross after Four years with AFC Lightning and one year with Alpharetta Ambush acquiring the Coerver Coaching youth and NSCAA National diplomas along the way.

  • Carlos Tello

    Carlos joined NSA in February of 2010. Carlos Tello is a native of Madrid, Spain. He started his career with Real Madrid´s youth team from 1992 until 1997, winning the U-16 national championship. Carlos has represented the Spanish National Team at the U-15 and U-16 levels, winning gold at the European Games. 

    He is a ten-time International player with the regional selection team of Madrid, representing his country in the UEFA Regional Cup. Carlos has played professionally in Spain for such teams as Alcorcón, Alcalá de Henares and San Sebastián de los Reyes, playing against teams such as Real Madrid in Spain´s King´s Cup.

    Carlos has worked as the goalkeeper coach for Emory University´s mens´ team since 2008 and began his first season as the goalkeeper coach for Walton High School´s men's varsity team in 2010. He is also an Training Center goalkeeper coach for the US Soccer Federation, as well as a scout.

  • Alex Teran

    Alex Teran comes from genertions of soccer from Ecuador, South America to New York in
    the U.S. WIth 20 years of training and coaching at all levels, he is more
    then ready to take players to the next level. During his youth he played division I soccer for
    Oceanside United, one of Long Islands top socccer clubs in the late 80 and 90s. As a hgh
    school soccer player he earned All Conferrene and All County honors. Playing with Oceanside
    United he had the privilage of competing at the Robie International tournament in Canada. After
    high school alex played at the NJCAA DIvision for Nassau Community College where he
    competed in the regionals finals 1988-1989. Moving into NSCAA DIV I competition Alex
    attended Syracuse University 1990 where he walked onto the Big East Champions team. After
    college he continued to play at the semi pro levels and coached part time in New York.

    Alex coached at Albertson soccer club in NY. In 2007 he was part of the first Developmental
    Academy program for the United States Soccer Federation. Having served under Coach Adrain
    Gaitan he became part of the staff that buit the program into one of the nations top USSF/DA
    Academy. Succesfully qualifying for playoffs every year and finishing 2nd at Nationals. On the
    Girls side Alex worked with two-time womens WPS coach of the year, Paul RIley. He lead the
    Albertson Fury girls to a top 50 NPL national ranking under US Club Soccer. Having coached on
    the DA Acadmey, ECNL and NPL levels for boys and girls; Alex has lots of experience to offer
    today's up and coming players. In addition to working in the United States he has internships in
    Top Division 1 Clubs in Argentina, Norway, and Ecuador.  Currently Holds USSF B license

  • Mark Tonner
    Staff Coach
    USSF C License

    Mark is a native of South Africa and has been living in Atlanta since 1994. He has been a very successful coach and coached teams at State, Regional and National levels. Mark is a dedicated coach who gives great attention to technical training. Mark played college soccer for Life University and graduated in 1999 with a BS in Nutrition.

    He is married to wife Partricia and they have a daughter Kalvine.

  • Jorge Tragodora
    Staff Coach
    USSF C License

    Jorge was born and raised in Callao,Peru.  He started playing soccer for Tito Drago academy at Lima,Peru and then played for Cienciano del Cuzco under 20.   In 2001, Jorge moved to Atlanta and played for Atlanta Silverbacks Reserves and then 2006 played the NPSL League with Atlanta FC.   

  • Tom Wilson

    USSF C License / FA Level 2

    Tom is a native of Tadcaster, England and grew up playing in the youth training system at York City FC and Halifax Town FC. Tom continued his soccer career in Atlanta for Reinhardt University where he played for four years. He is currently completing his MBA at Reinhardt University. Tom has close to 10 years coaching experience in the UK, Spain and USA in various roles including camp coaching/directing, select coaching and academy coaching. He also worked on the North America staff for Eredevisie Club FC Utrecht.
